3rd/4th Place Game
8M 6-8 8T 8-4
8M and 8T engaged in a proper shoot out up on Pairc Beag on Tuesday evening in the 3rd/4th place playoff. The wind proving a factor as 8M only led by 4-4 to 3-1 having had it at their backs. 8T cut loose after half time with an unanswered 3-2, only for 8M to start playing some close possession stuff, and rattling the T lads with 1-3! Five minutes left, it was 6-8 to 6-3, M led by five, but 2-1 from 8T saw them home. For 8M, Pearse Cassidy and Conor Curry had a brilliant league overall. Joe Gallagher and Aodhan Flaherty scrapped away for them in every game, with Ciaran Og Elliott doing plenty of work as well. 8T apparently feel they could have won the league, and sure who are we to burst that balloon? Their key men were the non stop Charlie Toye and Aidan Owens, a lovely striker of the ball, well backed by Charles McMahon, Joseph McKenna, Liam Sheridan and keeper Daire McGovern. Well done lads!
