A pleasant January day with a blue sky and these year 9 boys all happy to be out of school!!!
This was the first competitive game for this team in the competition.
Like ALL St Michaels Teams, they really put their heart and soul into it!
Unfortunately their gallant effort just fell short in the end with the final score:
St Michaels : 3-6 Abbey CBS Newry: 5-5
Early in the game the boys leaked a couple of goals but they recovered so well and really learnt a valuable lesson about the need for hard work and resilience.
So its with a very positive mind that we look forward to our game next week against St McCartan's College, Monaghan.
