The Irish News Workplace & Employment Awards were held last Thursday night at Titanic, Belfast.
St Michael’s were shortlisted in the Career Inspiration Category in the Small Organisation section, one of 9 categories. Some of these companies are well known, high profile organisations such as FinTru, CDE Global and Novosco.
The school came out as award winners on the night against other nominees from the business sector and schools.
The hard work done in promoting extensive links with primary schools, local businesses, especially our partnership with Quinn, and universities has paid off and this award is a significant recognition of the work we do in St Michaels for the boys.
Many thanks to Quinns but also our other partners, Elite Electronics and Sentinus for their support of the vision we have for our various programmes.
The award is an acknowledgement to the work of Connor McBarron and particularly Sean Carlin who have put a huge effort into developing the partnership with Quinn and our other partners. This award is recognition on a national scale of the impressive work being done in St. Michael’s with regard to Industry links.
