Recently, phase two of this newly established partnership has further delivered for local pupils within Co. Fermanagh and West Tyrone with the arrival of additional new equipment into the Quinn sponsored Technology & Design department. QIH has also provided both technical and structural support for the installation of this equipment. The school would also like to express its gratitude to others that enacted in phase two, namely Swift Stainless Steel Engineering, Lagan Electrical and PM Mechanical Engineering.
Collectively this investment will aid in the overall development that is still on-going at St. Michael’s in developing it as a Centre of Excellence that will encompass and nurture the skills and talents of pupils from many departments within the college.
With the continued facilitation by the Careers Department in the enacting of paid work placements for pupils and other programs such as interview sills; it will leave them better prepared for the world of work.
Principal, Mr Mark Henry stated that, ‘The continued contribution by QIH to the enhancement of facilities within the school will lend itself to providing added value to our pupils learning experiences throughout their time spent here at St. Michael’s College and leave them in a stronger position for the world of work.’
