The Allingham Festival held its prestigious cross border Secondary Schools Poetry competition at the end of 2015. Schools from all over the North West of Ireland, Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal, Galway, competed in this highly respected annual event. It is therefore with great pride that St Michael’s College gained double success in the U15 Poetry category. The overall first place was awarded to Theo Maguire (Year 10), with his version of Death of a Naturalist and third place was awarded to Conor Owens’ comedic Early Morning …(Year 12). Both boys have recently had their medals conferred upon them.
