Post-Results Appeals August 2021
Dear Parent / Guardian / Student,
Please find below important documentation regarding the CCEA Post-Results (Appeals) Service. This service allows you to appeal your Centre Determined Grade after the publication of results in August. Please read carefully all the documentation and if you wish to proceed with an appeal send the completed appeal form, located below, to the following email address:
You will receive e-mail confirmation of receipt of the appeal form within two working days. Please contact the College if you have not received an acknowledgement receipt of your appeal submission within the timeframe outlined.
Please note that appeals this year are in two stages. Stage 1 is the initial appeal, and this is a Centre Review. If you are unhappy with the outcome of the Centre Review, or you wish to request an appeal based on unreasonable academic judgement, your next option is Stage 2: Appeal to CCEA Awarding Organisation. Please note, if you wish to request an appeal based on unreasonable academic judgement, you will still have to go through Stage 1: Centre Review first.
It is vital that you read the documents below before submitting an appeal. Please begin by reading the document entitled 'CCEA Post-Results Service Student Parent Guide'. There is no fee for using the Post-Results Service this year.
**Please carefully note the deadlines by which appeals must be submitted and be aware that 'the outcome of the review may result in the grade going up, going down or staying the same'. Once a finding has been made you cannot withdraw your request for a centre review or appeal. If your grade has been lowered, you will not be able to revert back to the original grade issued on results day.
