SAINT MICHAEL’S COLLEGE
TROCAIRE CAMPAIGN 2010
Trocaire’s Lenten campaign this year proved to be as successful and enjoyable as previous years. It involved a 24 hour sponsored fast and a number of other events organised by many different classes. These included; a Sponsored Football Match in pyjamas, a Picture quiz, a Table tennis tournament, Cookie Making and Sale, a sponsored 5k run, a Year 13 Coffee Morning, Guess the number of sweets in the jar, a football match between staff and students, a sponsored run around the school against staff and many more events.
The fantastic total of £6000 was raised. This money provides Trocaire with vital funds in some of the world’s poorest countries – offering emergency aid and long-term solutions that help people move toward self-sufficiency.
