Pictured are representatives from a number of the local branches of St Vincent de Paul, collecting a total of twenty hampers from St Michael's College at the conclusion of the annual family appeal. All of Year 11 took part, and the boys pictured are part of the group which coordinated the collection of toys, foodstuffs etc for redistribution at Christmas. They each took responsibility for a sub-group of classmates, encouraging them to bring in goods. The entire year group participated very wholeheartedly in the appeal, having looked at the issue of poverty and how it can arise in their Personal Development classes. Also included is Mr Brendan Rasdale, Head of Year, who supervised the project.
